In addition to numerous events sponsored by each of the large resorts, the greater Orlando area also hosts a number of annual events that celebrate holidays and important dates in the history of Central Florida. Its climate and proximity to world class amusements and entertainment also make Orlando a favorite convention destination, and many national and international organizations hold their annual expositions here. Hurston Festival of Arts and Humanities

The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art in Winter Park houses the largest Tiffany collection in the world, which is open throughout the year, but offers a greater variety of programs and exhibits during the winter tourist season.

Artistry of the Earth
During the third week of April, Earth Day is celebrated at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom with a special exhibit of butterflies, photos, paintings and African furnishings.
